1   有否鮮花芳香，
荊棘、茵陳苦味？
有否微風吹拂或雷雨風暴？
主在客西馬尼園獨自禱告，
當祂哀慟流淚，有否為我祈求？
Were there fragrant flowers there
Or bitter herbs and thorns?
Did the gentle breezes blow or wild winds and storms?
While the Savior prayed alone did He pray for me?
When He wept those bitter tears in Gethsemane?

園裡安寧幽靜地，
主在客西馬尼園，
為你為我懇切禱告。

Garden of tranquility,
Praying there for you and me

2   樹叢中的荊棘，卻成殘酷冠冕？
主耶穌的淚滴，
滋潤乾渴心田？
救主有否呼吸花簇香氣？
這一黑夜是否充滿哀傷慈憐？
Did the bushes with their thorns become a cruel crown?
Or the tears that Jesus wept,
Did they quench thirsty ground?
Could the Savior of mankind breathe the fragrant air?
Was the anguish of the night full of pain and care?
