Hymn 901 -1

1a	亙古以來神所待, 翹望新城得建造。 可憐人竟拂祢意, 聚首掦名築巴別。

Through the ages Thou hast longed:
Build the city of Zion.
Alas Thy will, man rebelled:
To Babel, their name they excelled.

Hymn 901 -2

1b	祢心何傷復沉重, 皆因美旨仍嚴封。 一朝邂逅亞伯蘭, 積忱傾訴知心人。

Laden’d with sorrows untold;
For Thy will yet to unfold,
One day with Abram Thou didst meet,
Thy bosom’s thoughts found release.

2a	雅各流離宿路斯, 無家之哀祢深知, 天梯夢境蘊心意, 天地相連晝夜思。

At Luz weary Jacob slept,
Homeless sadness Thou knew best.
In dream’s ladder, Thy will implied;
New Heav’n and Earth Thou aspired;

2b	稍許一聲油澆柱, 佑庇恩情施不絕。 示劍風雲忽憬悟！ 回歸伊勒伯特利。

The oil, the pillar and pray’r;
Drew forth Thy tenderest care
At Shechem’s turmoil Thy will learnt;
El-Bethel Jacob returned.

3a	大衛安住香柏宮, 魂間瀰漫主恩竉, 雖遭拒絕心仍慕, 積蓄籌謀為建造;

David dwelled‘n cedar palace;
Overflowed with God’s rich grace.
He was denied, yet he still cared,
For God’s house he did prepare.

3b	與民同獻同歡樂, 決意澆奠在今天, 金銀寶石俄斐金, 為主安舒備腳凳。

With God’s people he offered,
Precious stones, gold of Ophir;
In one accord they all but pledged,
A footstool for God to rest.

4a	得悉城毀尼希米, 豈能息淚掩愁容, 尊貴榮華如敝屣, 祗求捨己獻主用。

Nehemiah couldn’t stop tears,
Once he heard of “her” distress.
Pow’r and glory all were but dross,
He yearned only to serve God.

4b	槍劍線鉈雖陌生, 憑信投入靠主恩, 起來奮身作善工, 同心建造必亨通。

The plumb, the spear though knew naught,
Through faith he built and he fought.
With joy together let us build,
Till His city glory filled.

5a	既蒙光照識神子, 復聞建造主所要, 更知主臉朝錫安, 「為殿捨己」成我志。

Once the Son of God revealed,
Then we heard Him say “I will
Build my church the Rock upon.”
Lo! His face fixed on Zion.

5b	屬世善意抗神意, 決背十架從主旨; 天國鑰匙蒙付託, 直搗仇門建神國。

Beware of all earthly thoughts,
Follow Him take up the cross.
His kingdom on our shoulders rests;
The Hades’ gates we shall thresh!

6a	屬天榮美非為「己」, 但願捨己求「她」益。 互為肢體一心志, 竭力彰顯那奇「一」。

Heav’nly glory not for “self,”
But for “Her” good, “self” laid down.
Striving hard to pursue His will,
Manifesting this heav’nly “ONE,”

6b	恩賜有別神所量, 配搭相連身子長, 一靈一身一新人, 捨己活祭香上騰。

Var’ous gifts just as He wills,
Joined together Body grows.
Living sacrifice to His name,
One Spirit, Body, New Man.

7a	看哪！雷聲震宇寰, 神的帳幕在人間！ 碧玉榮輝明如晶, 列國歡頌繞新城。

Lo! Behold! The heav’ns thunder;
God’s Tabernacle ‘mong men!
Jasper glory, pure as crystal;
Adorned with praise eternal.

7b	歷代重負今得釋, 上天下地同歸一。 看哪！雷聲震宇寰, 神的帳幕在人間！

At last the burden is gone:
The New Heav’n and Earth is born!
Lo! Behold! The heavens thunder;
God’s Tabernacle among men!
