A mighty Fortress is Our God

1a	我神乃是大能堡壘， 永不失敗永堅固； 致命危難密佈四圍， 祂是我們的幫助。

A mighty Fortress is our God,
A Bulwark never failing;
Our Helper He, amid the flood,
Of mortal ills prevailing;

1b	我們素來仇敵， 仍然害我不息， 詭計能力都大， 又配狠心毒辣； 世界無人可對手。

For still our ancient foe,
Doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and pow’r are great,
And, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.

2a	我們若信自己力量， 我們鬥爭必失敗； 我們這邊有一適當 合神心意的人在。

Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God’s own choosing;

2b	如問此人名字， 基督耶穌就是， 就是萬軍之王， 萬世萬代一樣， 只有祂能得全勝。

Dost ask who that may be?
Chris Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth His name,
From age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.

3a	世界雖然充滿鬼魅， 想以驚嚇來敗壞； 我也不怕，因神定規 真理藉我來奏凱。

And though this world with devils filled.
Should threaten to undo us;
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph through us;

3b	黑暗君王猙獰， 我們並不戰兢， 我忍受牠怒氣， 因牠結局已急， 一言就使牠傾倒。

The Prince of Darkness grim,
We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo! His doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.

4a	主言超越世界全權， 神旨成功不延遲； 藉主與我同在一邊， 我有聖靈和恩賜。

That word above all earthly powers,
No thanks to them abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Through Him who with us sideth;

4b	財物以及親友， 任其損失無有， 就是殺害身體， 真理仍然屹立， 神的國度永遠存。

Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also;
The body they may kill;
God’s truth abideth still,
His Kingdom is forever.
