Our Best

Hymn 645-1

1	“要將最好獻上！”聽主呼聲； 每件大小事上，主要驗明。 不求任何獎賞，盡力作工； 不求人的稱揚，只為主用。

Hear ye the Master's call, "Give Me thy best!"
For, be it great or small, that is His test.
Do then the best you can, not for reward,
Not for the praise of man, but for the Lord.

1*	凡事為主而作，必蒙賞， 主所要求，是“最好獻上”， 我的才力雖小，微不足道。 惟願獻上我的一切最好。

Ev'ry work for Jesus will be blest,
But He asks from ev'ry one his best.
Our talents may be few, these may be small,
But unto Him is due Our best, our all.

2	不理會人稱讚，或是輕視： 只求主的笑臉，作我賞賜。 為人真實、善良，走蒙福路； 無論工作、思想，盡力以赴

Wait not for men to laud, heed not their slight;
Winning the smile of God brings its delight!
Aiding the good and true ne'er goes unblest,
All that we think or do, be it the best.

3	黎明微光來迎，黑夜將殘； 今日所作之工，那日考驗。 但願那日安息，甜美安息； 因主應許、獎勵忠心僕役。

Night soon comes on apace, day hastens by;
Workman and work must face testing on high.
Oh, may we in that day find rest, sweet rest,
Which God has promised those who do their best.
