Hymn 378-1

1a	我所經過道路， 雖然滿佈痛苦， 卻是引我更近天父；

The path that I have trod,
Has bro’t me nearer God,
Tho’ oft it led thro ’ sorrow’s gates.

Hymn 378-2

1b	雖非我願選擇， 但若行走己路， 我將喪失天樂無窮。

Tho’ not the way I’d choose,
In my way I might lose
The joy that yet for me awaits.

1*	非我願作何事， 非我願去何地， 我是何人， 竟敢選擇己路！

Not what I wish to be,
Nor where I wish to go,
For who am I that
I should choose my way?

1**	救主為我揀選， 這是好得無比， 去留只願遵主命令。

The Lord shall choose for me,
’Tis better far, I know,
So let Him bid me go, or stay.

Hymn 378-5

2a	若只為得冠冕， 使我去負十架， 十架就失該有價值；

The cross that I must bear,
If I a crown would wear,
Is not the cross that I should take;

Hymn 378-6

2b	既為主所頒賜， 我就背負無懼， 負架原因只為我主。

But, since on me ’tis laid,
I’ll take it, unafraid,
And bear it for the Master’s sake.

3a	惟我順服神旨， 主愛必然充溢， 一路既由祂手引領；

Submission to the will
Of Him who guides me still
Is surety of His love revealed:

3b	主將我心高舉， 遠超所居之世， 順服，立見完全得勝。

My soul shall arise above
This world in which I move;
I conquer only where I yield.
