1	以前我心苦楚悲傷， 永生之福無望； 惟有基督今為我王， 我心充滿歡暢。

O Christ, in Thee my soul hath found,
And found in Thee alone,
The peace, the joy I sought so long,
The bliss till now unknown.

1*	今主耶穌滿足我心， 並無別人如祂； 歷久愛情、生命、歡欣， 都由耶穌賜下。

Now none but Christ can satisfy,
None other name for me;
There’s love and life and lasting joy,
Lord Jesus, found in Thee.

2	以前我心思慕祝福， 並不來尋基督： 我雖忽略我的救主， 祂愛卻來尋吾。

I sighed for rest and happiness,
I yearned for them, not Thee;
But while I passed my Savior by,
His love laid hold on me.

3	我曾試過破裂水池， 希望痛快而喝； 哎喲，水卻完全漏失， 譏諷我的乾渴。

I tried the broken cisterns, Lord,
But, ah, the waters failed!
E’en as I stooped to drink they fled,
And mocked me as I wailed.

Till grace the sightless eyes received,
Thy loveliness to see.
