1  我當如何愛我的主？
如何奉獻使祂歡喜？
不稍離開祂的道路，
學習如何與祂親密
How shall I follow Him I serve?
How shall I copy Him I love?
Nor from those blessed footsteps swerve,
Which lead me to His seat above?

2  我的途徑若是痛苦，
主，我求你禁我退縮；
使我仍然向你順服，
追憶你的十架重負。
Lord, should my path through suffering lie,
Forbid that I should e'er repine;
Still let me turn to Calvary,
Nor heed my griefs, remembering Thine.

3  讓我思念你曾如何
離開許多純潔樂事，
來憂，來餓，來倦，來渴，
無家之夜，不息之日。
O, let me think how Thou didst leave
Untasted every pure delight, To fast,
to faint, to watch, to grieve, Through
toilsome days, Through homeless nights.

4  為我來憂，來倦，來死，
你來不求自己喜悅；
地上安逸雖難恝置，
我豈愛你不勝這些？
To faint, to grieve, to die for me!
Thou camest not Thyself to please;
And, dear though earthly comforts be,
Shall I not love Thee more than these?

5  是的，我算萬事為損，
為要來得你的注意；
丟棄萬事雖如土糞，
為著愛你有何可惜？
Yes! I would count them all but loss,
To gain the notice of Thine eye.
Flesh shrinks and trembles at the cross,
But Thou canst give the victory.
